GRS 'Storm' The Lincolnshire Show 2012!

Monday, 2nd July 2012 GRS 'Storm' The Lincolnshire Show 2012!

GRS Electrical embarked on their first ever Lincolnshire Show this year and a fantastic time was had by all!

The weather was scorching sunshine on day one and complete downpours on day two. But would we expect anything less from an event held during the British Summertime?

The GRS Stand and our Renewable Energy Experts, were inundated with Solar enquiries as households across Lincolnshire try to register their domestic installations before the 1st August 2012 deadline. The government are due to further reduce the payments made to householders for the power they generate as from this date. The main focal point, a Solar Carport in situ at the show, became quite a talking point for those who had thought Solar Panels may not have been an option. Carports are a valuable opportunity for prospective clients to invest in solar technologies in a location where initially it may not have been viable, thus enabling solar power to be accessible to all.

On the second day GRS stepped into the media spotlight at their sponsored event - The Lincolnshire Area Show Jumping Trial. The GRS Electrical Trophy was presented to the very worthy winner, Louise Whitaker, who performed incredibly well despite the rain. The Prizes were presented by Clare Avison of GRS with the help of the Mayoress of Lincoln; Karen Lee, and her City Sheriff, Melanie Tointon.

As well as taking our wellies 'just in case', visitors were welcomed with a sparkling iced Pimms in the heat of the first day but were grateful for a nice hot cuppa and shelter from the pouring rain on day two. Two of Louth's local eateries provided exceptional local produce to serve as complimentary snacks to all visitors to the stand; Babbits Bakery and Meridian Meats.

All in all a great success!

GRS are looking forward to seeing clients old and new at next year's show, but preferably without the rain and wellies!!
