GRS recently undertook the 're-illumination' project at St James' Church in Louth, working on the installation of Ansell Smart LED lighting across Ground, Mid, and Tower/Top Levels of the historic church.
The collaboration with Ansell’s design team focused meticulously on achieving the optimal wattages and beam angles to highlight the nationally acclaimed fifteenth-century architecture with precision. This attention to detail allowed for a stunning light spread that enhances the visibility of the church's architectural features throughout Louth.
The project utilizes projector lights at each level, powered by Ansell’s Octo lighting system. These fully RGBW lights are controlled through dusk-to-dawn timers and can display preset colours to commemorate special events and charity causes. This setup lets the church adapt its illumination based on the occasion, for instance, using pink lighting for the Louth Run for Life in June and purple lighting in October for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness and Rotary Polio campaigns.
GRS is proud to have contributed to a project of such significance, supporting the legacy and adaptability of St James' Church for future generations. We would like to thank the individuals that helped successfully bring this project to fruition.
