GRS are pleased to be working for Topcon Building Ltd on the new Grimsby Institute: Innovative Animal Care Centre. This distinctively circular facility will be situated at the western end of the Laceby Road main campus. It will feature educational spaces for students as well as an independent veterinary practice with overnight accommodations.
Students will benefit from an interactive and engaging environment to study the Animal Care curriculum, gaining expertise in Veterinary Nursing, Kennel and Cattery management, Animal Welfare, and Dog Grooming. Designed with animal well-being in mind, the centre will include a courtyard, outdoor enclosures, an aviary, and a dog-walking area, accommodating animals such as skunks, meerkats, rabbits, and primates. To ensure energy efficiency, the building will incorporate high thermal insulation, natural lighting, ventilation, and, where possible, renewable technologies.
GRS will be responsible for installing comprehensive electrical services in the building, including Distribution, Containment, LED energy-efficient lighting, Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, and Intercom System
