We are happy to announce that our contract manager, Mark ‘Buzz’ Bee, has recently participated in the ‘Louth 24Hr Challenge Walk’, raising money for Cancer Research UK. The event tied in with the Louth Run for Life on the 30th of June and involved walking, and occasionally running, the Louth Run for Life 5km route for 24 hours non-stop before joining the runners competing in this year’s event for the final 5km.
Mark covered an impressive distance of 40 miles before unfortunately suffering an knee injury forcing him to withdraw, a valiant effort nevertheless!
Mark took on this challenging feat with the support of local friends Stacey Whitworth from Polypipe Civils, Ronnie Wilkinson & Ollie Wilkinson from MRW Services Ltd and Mark Stones from Lindsey Marsh Drainage Board. Together, they raised a fantastic £863.75 for Cancer Research UK, contributing to the fight against cancer.
GRS would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to Mark and his friends on this incredible achievement for such a worthy cause.
